The Fourth Annual Manresa Lecture with David Coffey (G’03)

The distinguished lecturer for the Fourth Annual Manresa Lecture is David Coffey (G'03), Executive Director of Recovery Café, a nonprofit that aims to create substance-free environments for people struggling to find community and support in the face of mental illness. David is passionate about finding better solutions than incarceration for people with behavioral health disorders, and seeks to transform our communities to encourage and support the spiritual journeys of healing for those who are struggling.

During the lecture, David will discuss his journey from The Hilltop to the Recovery Café, his personal role with the organization since it's founding over 20 years ago, the national work of the Recovery Café network, and what he learned at Georgetown that helped to shape his work today. After his lecture, David will sit down with Ashley Neville (F'09), President of the Georgetown Alumni Club of Seattle, for a fireside chat to dive deeper into his connections to Georgetown. An audience Q&A will follow.
