About Us

The Hoya Social Impact Alliance (HSIA) is the first-ever networking community for Georgetown alumni engaged in the social impact sphere.

Launched in 2023, it is already comprised of 700+ alumni from all GU schools who work at nonprofit/NGOs, faith institutions, schools and universities, government agencies, corporations, foundations, and entrepreneurial ventures dedicated to the public good. The HSIA aims to connect, celebrate, and foster collaboration among these ‘people for others’ alumni, as well as current students and the University.

To support this growing community, the alumni volunteer-run HSIA offers regular programming and communications on professional development, network building, and other social impact career opportunities. These services include:

  • In person ‘City Socials with Impact’ networking nights

  • Virtual alumni panels on a variety of social impact topics

  • Active LinkedIn and Hoya Gateway groups

  • Website and monthly e-newsletter full of alumni profiles, upcoming events, and job and internship listings
